May 2010 Meeting Announcement

This month, the Trenton Democratic Club will be on meeting in Brownstown! The meeting takes place Wednesday, May 19.
We’re meeting up with the Brownstown Democratic Club to hear Wayne County Sheriff Benny Napoleon speak. Coffed and donuts will be served afterwards.

May 2009 Meeting Summary

The May 2009 meeting of the Trenton Democratic Club was held at the Westfield Activities Center. We had two guest speakers: Justin Johnson (of the Michigan Senate Democrats) and John Freeman (of Heatlh Care for America Now).

School Board Approves Preliminary Budget

From today’s News Herald;
A preliminary budget that calls for layoffs was approved April 27 by the Board of Education.
The board plans to adopt the 2009-10 budget June 8, and the fiscal year will start July 1.
A public hearing on the budget is set for 7 p.m. June 8 at the administration building, 2603 Charlton.
