The next meeting of the Trenton Democratic Club will be held Thursday, January 19, at 7:30PM. This month’s speaker is club member Fred Paffhausen, who will be speaking on Public Health Policy. Meeting begins at 7:30pm. The Westfield Activities Center is located at 2700 Westfield Rd. The next meeting of the Trenton Democratic Club will be held Thursday, November 17, at 7:30PM. This month’s speaker is Marc Cochran, from Congressman Dingell’s office, who will share plans for the Downriver Democratic Summit (to be held Sunday, November 20, at UAW Region 1-A). Meeting begins at 7:30pm. The Westfield Activities Center is located at 2700 Westfield Rd. The Trenton Democratic Club is holding a Candidates Forum at its monthly meeting on October 20, 2011 at the Westfield Activities Center. Candidates for mayor and city council will speak and take questions from the audience. The forum will also be videotaped for cable rebroadcast! Meeting begins at 7:30pm. The Westfield Activities Center is located at 2700 Westfield Rd. JOCELYN BENSON, Wayne State Law Professor and former candidate for Secretary of State will speak at the Trenton Democratic Club this Thursday, Sept. 15, at 7:30 pm, at Westfield Center. Our next meeting is Thursday May 19, at 7:30pm. The meeting will be at the Westfield Activities Center (2700 Westfield Rd, Trenton, MI). Our guest speaker will be Lacy Dawson, of OFA Michigan. The “S” in SPI stands for “strategize.” OFA wants our input as we lay the groundwork for the 2012 campaign. Come with your ideas and concerns to contribute to this planning phase.
The Trenton Democratic Club’s next meeting is Thursday, April 21 at 7:30PM. It will be held at the Westfield Activities Center (2700 Westfield Rd, Trenton, MI). Our featured speaker will be Bill Richardson, head of Organizing for America Downriver. Alex Young, an organizer for the We are the People campaign, will also stop by to give an update on activities in our area. The March 2011 general meeting of the Trenton Democratic Club will be held Thursday, March 17. Scheduled topics are “Update From Lansing” and “I Love My Obamacare.” The meeting, as usual, will be held (as usual) at the Westfield Activity Center, 2700 Westfield Rd, Trenton, MI. Meeting starts at 7:30PM (which is a little earlier than usual). (This month’s meeting is being chaired by your humble Webmaster, Michael Bauser. Look for the liberal wearing a green t-shirt!) Alll four of this year’s candidates for the Trenton School Board will be attending the October general meeting of the Trenton Democratic Club on Thursday, October 21st. Rehmann Bhatti, Marie Morris Conflitti, Tom Kinney, and Bruce Wyke will all be there to introduce themselves and take questions. (Wondering who all these people are? The News Herald recently interviewed them.) The October meeting will be held (as usual) at the Westfield Activity Center, 2700 Westfield Rd, Trenton, MI. Meeting starts at 8PM. There probably will be coffee, too.
Trenton, unlike some control-freak communities (cough, cough, Grosse Ile, cough) has no laws regulating when residents can put up campaign signs on private property. On the other hand, our (Republican) city clerk has asked residents to wait until October. Yeah, like we’ll going to take orders from her! The next meeting of the Trenton Democratic Club will be held at 8pm on Thursday, September 16. The meeting is at the Westfield Activities Center. |
